3.2 Planning & Creation

Portfolio Design: 1

This is a flow diagram that is a basic view of how my portfolio will look and what menu’s I would be having, as well as the categories underneath it and what they will contain. I have not added them in this because its more like a skeleton but I would be adding in sub menus to show off other areas of small importance and allow you to look at new and older work as well as see projects as a whole instead of just the images or the models or the blockouts entire projects just by clicking on a submenu, there will also be a button to show how I got to said design and each colour pattern in that project.

This is the second a flow diagram that follow the same basic view of how my portfolio will have the same parts as the first but with addition of an entire section to show my progression with project that will allow employers what I have done, how I have done it as well as show what obstacles I came into when making it. The changes may not be massive wit either design but I think that the blog would allow anyone who views it to see how I am doing and to keep up on work that I am doing at home and work I am doing at college, this allows for people to see how I have learnt new skills and what those new skills are the sub menus would only be model blog stamps so that projects have there own blog portion and if I do 2 in one day they would be split this allows you to hit a drop down and only see one project if you would like.

This is the first design for my portfolio ideas, it follows the main premise of how I can layout my portfolio it is the way I will be displaying my work and all the programs I have used. The first section will be where the final image is show and what it looks like in the end, the last image will show what the block outs looks like at the bottom of the page will have a menu that allows you to see the blog that belongs to the piece of work if there is one.

This design shows how I would show my blog section with the images being on one side and the text being on the other, giving enough room for images and text is something that is massively important when coming up with these designs. There will also be a area where I can link you to information on each project that I am doing.

I have decided to use ArtStation to show my work,I chose ArtStation because I am more familier with it and the fact that it is used more in industry then other portfolio presentation sites, ArtStation is a powerful tool and allows me to use lots of options when uploading a piece of work, I can also use this site to look for inspiration from others, meaning I that it can help me generate ideas for projects the comments section on artstation is also really helpful allowing people to give criticism and help you improve.
